February 2012
Ready for baseball!!!!
The grass is back and it looks Opening Day ready.
Hmmmm. Pitching looks interesting with opening day honors going to our Ace Clayton Kershaw himself! Also in the lineup is Chad Billingsley who can be awesome and other times frustrating. Newcomers include Chris Capuano and Aaron Harang. Back to try again to complete the lineup is Ted Lilly. Returning catcher will be AJ Ellis with Matt “Mr. Misty May” Treanor and Tim Federowicz as backup. I confess that I already miss my heart Hiroki Kuroda. Hopefully I can get over it.
Andre Ethier has already tweaked his back. Unfortunately he has already gotten on the bad side of the press who can pretty much make or break a player’s image. Ask TJ Slimers about that.
Look forward to a fantastic season with the 50th anniversary of Dodger Stadium.

Thank you Dodgers for the magnificent 50th anniversary bat they sent me for Christmas with MY Name engraved on it. What a surprise.
Back to our players….hopefully our baseman James Loney will continue his late-in-the-season hot streak. Juan Uribe will take over at third base.
Our closer will be Javy Guerra who had pretty much clinched that spot although Kenley Jansen has proved himself too. And then there is our should have been MVP Matt Kemp.

Hopefully Dodger fans come back and support our guys. I know I will be there every home game no matter who is the owner and whether they are winning or losing.
I can’t wait to see my friends again. Opening Day is a little over a month away.
Thanks for stopping by.
By the way, happy 91st birthday to my Dad who also is a Dodger fan.
Pictures From Last Season
Last season I sat in Premium Seating. I sat in Section 39 about 3 rows back right where Andre Ethier stretches out before the game.

I have a good view of batting practice and pre game activities.

Maybe I was a little close to Matt!!!

I spent a lot of time eating the great food in the club!
And ate more….

The Dodger cupcakes were awesome.

It was so funny!! My sister took this picture of me during a game on
TV. She happened to see me and took
the picture!!

My favorite pictures were taken after a win when they were congratulating each other with “I Love LA” blaring.

Autographs autographs. This ball had a Kershaw autograph.

Why I Need My Dodgers
It’s been a long 5 months. I can’t seem to find any kind of happiness since baseball season ended way too early!

I miss my friends!!!
Silvia and Tonio

Getting autographs. Here is a batting practice ball with autographs from Andre and Matt

Beautiful Dodger Stadium…hopefully recovered from Motocross.

Collecting the giveaways.., here a Dodger hat in Laker colors!

Getting excited when pitcher, catcher and pitching coach go from bullpen to dugout!!!

Introducing my best friend, Dina, to Matt!!

Hoping Andre will flash me a smile

I think most of all I miss standing in
my spot in front of Matt. I stood there before every home game without fail. Even if the attendance was dismal, Matt knew I would always be there, his faithful fan.
I need my Dodgers to bring me happiness in my otherwise stressful life. It’s my special world that I can put other things out of my mind. I can believe that dreams can come true. I can meet my heroes and find out that they actually remember me! I know that Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw is giving ME that huge smile and asking me “how have you been?”
Somehow the Dodgers and the stadium staff make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.
I need you guys back again. Let me dream and feel special another season!!
Happy Valentines Day
Love from some of my favorite Dodgers!!!

Shawn Green, my first Dodger
Heart throb

Dee Gordon, faster shortstop ever

Andre Ethier, everyones heart throb all year around

Donnie Baseball, our manager himself

Can’t forget two of the most dedicated Dodger fans, Norma and Pat

Trent Oeltgen our Aussie Dodger

Matty, our all star, should have been MVP.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great Valentines Day. Think BLUE!
Pictures from the Caravan
My job….pinto beans. I was in charge of putting bags of pinto beans in a bin.

Shawn Green, Kenley Jansen and Ramon Troncoso.

Dodger legends and Dodgers new and returning

They all arrived in their luxurious Dodger Caravan bus.

Picture is a little blurry, appropriate since this is our lightning fast shortstop Dee “Skinny Swag” Gordon who is a doll. I could wrap my arms around him twice!!!

My favorite picture with Shawn Green who was the reason I became True Blue!!!
Thanks for stopping by. Please please support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. They do a wonderful service to the community!
Dodger Caravan

I had a great time yesterday. I had decided that I would try to make at least one part of the Dodger Caravan. Volunteering at the Food Bank seemed to be the most fun and also the most rewarding. I was able to talk to some of the Dodger legends as well as some of our current players.
It was wonderful to talk to Clayton, our rising star, recipient of the 2011 Cy Young award. What an accomplishment for such a young player! He has always been humble. I congratulated him and he beamed! It’s nice that he recognizes me especially since I changed my look a little. Not eating Dodger buffet everyday, I lost a few pounds and my hair is different. Usually my hair color made it easy for people to spot me from the upper deck section at Dodger Stadium. Now maybe I can just blend in. What do you think? Can you pick me out of the picture above?
I was assigned to the pinto bean station. My station was next to Tommy Davis and Shawn Green. My Dodger buddy Rosa had the difficult assignment of rice between those two hunks. Tough job!
I talked to Skinny Swag, also known as Dee Gordon who is still…..lean!
But my heart is still with Shawn Green who was one of the reasons I became so True Blue. He is still a little quiet and shy. We’re hoping with the new owners, yet undecided, that there will be a place for him on the staff.
Thanks to those on the Dodger staff who made it possible for me to have this memorable experience at the Los Angeles Food Bank, the largest of its kind in the U.S. They are able to feed one million of the four million residents of L.A. What a difference they make. Today I am a little sore but it’s a nice feeling. Know what I mean?
Thanks for stopping by! I’ll post some more pix later. I miss everyone!
New news good and bad!
Good news: remember a few months ago, James Loney was stopped while driving his Maserati for DUI? Charges have been dropped due to the fact that all tests came back negative. Maybe he was just having a bad day!!!
Good news: first official glimpse of the Dodgers during their winter caravan scheduled this coming Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bad news: the Dodgers aren’t saying where fans can actually see them Tuesday until the last minute. Most of the stops during the caravan are closed events not geared to fans. Oh well.
Bad news: last time I saw Dodger Stadium, it was a dirt pile for Motocross and Monster Trucks. I guess Frank is trying to raise some money.
Bad news: Brian Stowe family trying to get money from Dodgers for the beating he received. If everyone sued the Dodgers for whatever fights fans had, it would be never ending. Should I sue them because a drunk fan was all over me two seasons ago? Each fan needs to be responsible for their own behavior. What if cities were sued each time anything occurred on their streets because of “insufficient security”? The lawsuits would be overwhelming.
I feel bad about what happened to him but why are the Dodgers being sued?
I believe that the press has a big influence over public opinion. A few years ago, there was actually a shooting in the parking lot. No one heard much about it maybe because it might have been between two gang members or two Latinos. And no one sued.
Everyone seems to hate Frank so that also fuels the fire.
How many haters have met Mr. McCourt? I have talked to him several
times. He has always been gracious, friendly and nice. He always stopped to talk to fans, always answered questions, signed autographs, was known to give away tickets and upgrade seats. Now his wife, on the other hand, was unfriendly and into herself.
It will be good to have new owners and get rid of Jamie!!!
It was distressing to see the stadium so empty last season. Matt had a great season and Clayton had a Cy Young year. All I heard was that the “fans” were going to punish Frank by not coming to games. I can remember the sadness in Matt’s eyes when he asked “where are the fans?” as he looked at the empty seats. Who was everyone punishing?
Good news: Spring Training!!!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
Back to blogging
I plan on blogging again! Spring training is just around the corner. Pitchers and catchers are reporting. Everyone is training. Dodger ownership is still in limbo. Irregardless, it will be a fantastic season.
My seat was upgraded to one section closer to home plate. Hmmmm, a little farther away from where Matt and Dre work out but I guess I’ll have to rough it. In the next few blog posts, I’ll tell you about my experiences last season. One missing feature will be my faithful comrade and Pal, Max Kitty, who passed away a week before Christmas. I still miss him terribly.
I had fun last season although it wasn’t the Dodgers best one. I’ll tell you about it in future posts.
There are some interesting changes as well as many returnees.
Big surprise….Bellisario has arrived early to Camelback!!!
I’ll post again soon. All my wonderful blog friends….please come back. I miss you!!!
Thanks for visiting.
