The Magic Begins
So many people have asked me how I feel about the new owners. I just smile and say time will tell. If my guys are happy, so is this girl. I have always respected Magic and expect that having a sports figure involved is a definite plus. Last season, knowing that ownership of the franchise was in limbo was horrible for the team. Now we can concentrate on baseball, the game we all love!

So there’s our superstar Matt Kemp on the Forbes Magazine cover. I have to say that besides being the best all around MLB player, he is a fine looking cover model.

My Lot K parking passes came in the mail express fed ex airmail. Did they fly
those passes by plane from LA to Long Beach? Now the girl is happy. I had mistakenly been sent Lot F. Long story.

My sister just got her one and only tattoo on her foot. They are cherry blossoms to honor my late mother who passed away of cancer a few years ago. I have seriously thought of getting a very demure tattoo on my ankle. Can everyone guess what it would be? Of course… LA for my team. But I am afraid of commitment. Maybe later this season.
I’ve decided to donate one of my cars to breast cancer research, a cause very dear to my heart. I have everything in pink. One of my sisters is a breast cancer survivor and she is one brave soul. Please everyone, support breast cancer research!

I wear this pink power balance bracelet to honor this cause. Everyone asks me if this bracelet helps, and I smile and answer “more than you would know”.
Thanks for stopping by. Love you all. GO DODGERS!!
As the First Day Nears
Sunday proved to be a cold and blustery day in LA which is not the usual case. My plan for the day was to go to the Dodger Open House to return my preferred parking passes for Lot F
so I could get Lot K which is a better lot for me. It’s easier and quicker to get out. Hopefully I can get my new parking passes before the first exhibition game on April 3.
I thought I would check out the position of my new seat which is a section closer to home plate. It was starting to get cold and windy. I still was determined.

The seat is about 10 feet closer to home plate which makes a difference. The above is a view of the field from my seat. It is breathtaking.

Here is a view of home plate minus home plate.
It was strange being the only one in the seats. The nice thing is that they are replacing the weather beaten seats. Our seats are padded so the new ones should be nice.
I have a great feeling about our Dodgers. We have a winning record in ST which I know doesn’t count. Skinny Swag looks fantastic. He’s worked on
bunting and hitting the base hits. Andre Ethier is hot. I’m a little worried about Ted Lilly and his stiff neck, an injury that plagued him last season. Hopefully his arm doesn’t get cold. Clayton will have another award winning season.
Apparently Jamey Wright is being added to the 40 man roster. He has looked good.
The Dodgers will have a new owner in the next couple of weeks. I think
It may be the group with the richest guy in LA which means maybe we eventually can get another hot bat. Hopefully.

I’ll be excited to see my friends again. I can’t wait to see Matty. It should be an exciting season.
I saw some of the nice giveaways they are having. Of course they will have the fleece blankets and lunch bags. They also have a nice replica of Kershaw’s award and mini bobble heads with two legends on a stand. There are very cool UCLA and USC speakers with a huge sound which attaches nicely to an iPhone or android. Someone told me the USC speaker sounded even better than the UCLA speaker. I think he was a USC grad!!
The next few weeks will be exciting. Please let me know what you are interested in hearing about or what pictures you would like to see. I’ll soon be taking my own pictures with my camera. So far all my pics are taken with my iPhone.
Thanks for stopping by. GO DODGERS!
Today
Nice game today with the Brewers. Andre is red hot with a two run homerun securing the win for the Dodgers.
On a sad note, Kuo was released by the Mariners. Maybe we can sign him to a minor league deal. I can’t forget the fantastic season he had a couple of years ago. And he is a nice guy.
Jamie Hoffman is also out there, also being released. Maybe we can sign a few of our former Dodgers and use them later.
The Dodgers have looked sharp. I can’t wait for the real season to start. I’m counting the days. We may not have Pujols or Fielder but we have The Real MVP Matty Kemp and the Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw. We also have a hot bat in Andre Ethier. James Loney also has been hitting. Dee actually hit a triple today…probably a double for someone less fleet of foot.
It should be interesting!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
So Proud
Congratulations to my little sister Sara for completing the Los Angeles Marathon in 4 hours. BTW she would only let me take a picture of her medal. What a nice afternoon. I’m watching my Dodgers play the Angels on tv with my Dad.

My sister wore her Naval Academy sweatshirt that my son gave her during his collegiate days. Everyone was throwing their sweaty clothes away after their run but no way would she part with that old sweatshirt!!

Her daughter had flowers and a present ready for her when she returned home tired, sore but happy.
Congratulations Sara!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
Rain Rain Go Away
Here I am nice and warm. In a couple of hours my sister will be running in the LA Marathon. Impressive enough but of all days, it is raining in sunny California!!
I hope she does well and that it stops long enough for the runners to finish without getting too wet.
The runners were instructed to bring extra socks but their shoes will be wet!!
It brings to mind the rain delays during the last couple of baseball seasons. I remember getting very wet during one rain delay even with a rain poncho on. I think my bottom got drenched!! It was totally miserable! Those were the days that I didn’t have season tickets in Premium Seating. Now if it rains, I can sit in the Club and drink coffee!! One definite advantage.
So, good luck, Sara…watch out for the puddles!
Thanks for stopping by. Only days left until Opening Day. Life is good!
Getting it Together
My season tickets came in the mail.

I immediately was in baseball mode! There’s nothing like holding those beautiful tickets in my hands. It will be a little different this season since my seat is a whole box closer to home plate. I’ll be one box further away from where Matt stretches but Exactly in front of where Dre stretches!!!

Notice how I am a little to the left of Dre as he takes his final deep breath before he gets up and turns around with that gorgeous grin of his and signs autographs. I will be directly in front of him.
My view of the game will be slightly different too. I’ll see how I like it.
I realized I had been sent parking for lot F instead of my favorite lot K.
With the nasty beating of Brian Stow by some mean guys, people have asked me if I am afraid to walk out there alone. No no no. I have walked by myself to my car since I started going to the games. My occasional companion was my 91 year old dad who would not be much help if I were attacked.
The only problem I had in all these years was the theft of my Russell
Martin license plate probably also done by nasty guys. It was sad because I honestly loved those plates. It was also a bad omen because Russell was hurt the next week sliding the wrong way into a base ending his season and also his career with the Dodgers.
My license now is in honor of Andre Ethier as everyone already knows. <;;;;;3 DRE 16.
I purchased MLB.TV for a month so I could watch the guys during ST. It made me excited to finally realize that baseball season was actually here.
Andre actually looks great. Hopefully he and James will hit better against lefties. Matt will be super hot this season.
Hopefully our pitching rotation will stay healthy and our ace Clayton continues with his stellar pitching.
I think Javy Guerra will do well as closer. He is poised and controlled.
I have a little reservation about Juan Uribe, former Giant, at 3rd base.
Dee Gordon gets better and faster.
I miss Kuroda and Casey. I hope they are happy where they are.
I am looking forward to seeing my Dodger friends including those who are part of the staff in the club.
I'm also looking forward to the delicious buffets.

This is definitely a Dodger dog!!!

I can’t wait to actually touch the Dodger dirt!!

I may get a couple of autographs this year since it is the 50th anniversary of Dodger Stadium. The autographs on the batting practice ball are those of Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp on the same ball.

Maybe I will be on tv again!!!

I hope to get some nice close up pictures to show you.
Thanks for stopping by. See you soon!!
Tomorrow….it starts

Tomorrow will be the Dodgers first Spring Training game. When the season ended so abruptly last year, I was in despair. How could I survive for 6 months without baseball???
Somehow I was always in touch with the Dodgers. It was probably partly due to the ownership debacle. Who will it eventually be? Also in the forefront was the Brian Stow issue. So sad for him and also his family.
I stayed in touch through social media including Facebook and Twitter, the Dodgers website and also through email with my friends Stacy and Norma, also Dodger fans. I also emailed Matt Kemp’s absolutely wonderful, down to earth mom, Judy. She raised a talented awesome son as a single Mom. Hats off to you, Judy. I so respect and admire you.
I also stayed in touch with my helpful, intuitive Dodger rep Craig Sindici who has made my Prime Ticket experience the best it could be.
I decided to start blogging early so I could be totally in the swing of things by the time the season officially started.
My hopes are to share my unique experiences with a broad audience mainly to bring the Dodgers into more lives, even those of you with absolutely no interest in them but possibly a passion for baseball.
The Dodgers are a large part of my life..the part of my life that is fun and stress free, the part of my life that brings me joy and some respite.
The last 6 months were stressful. Frank McCourt and his divorce, the Brian Stow case, trading and losing favorite players, not seeing my buddies on the team, but most of all…losing my friend, my love Max, my 20 year old kitty who is no longer by my side (or should I say no longer in my lap). I’m still getting used to it.
I plan on writing extensively about my personal experiences sitting in the exclusive Prime Ticket Club. I hope to give you a different view of going to Dodger games other than eating Dodger dogs (which I love) and just watching the games. You’ll find out my special routine when I do go to the games, where I go and what I do. I hope to share my undying love for my Dodgers.
Last season I was privileged to be in
2 commercials about the Prime Ticket Club. Maybe you saw it. It was on
FSN, ESPN, NBC, the Dodger network, Fox…hopefully I’ll be able to do something like that again to bring interest to everyone to come back to the games.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your interest in the Dodgers.
Oh and by the way, the picture is taken from MLB.com and is of Matt Kemp, the media star!!!!

Here is a pic of the injury to Skinny Swag’s upper lip. He posted the pic on twitter.

Here is first pic of new Dodger catcher Matt “Mr Misty May” Treanor. The pic was taken from Dodger website.
Talk to you soon!!!
Fanfest 2012
Today was Dodgers first ever fanfest and of course I couldn’t be there!!! Why? Because it took place in Glendale AZ at Camelback and here I am in Long Beach working.
Everyone seemed to be having a great time except maybe our “skinny swag” himself who took a blow to his lip during batting practice requiring a few stitches. Poor Dee. He’s fine.

Here’s a pic taken today of Fanfest courtesy of MLB.com with our Matt Kemp right in the middle having the time of his life. It just kills me that I’m not there myself taking the pictures!

Here’s another picture of Andre Ethier during the event. Apparently there were 3000 fans there. Sheesh! That’s about how many attended each game last season…. Just kidding but hope more fans come back.
Actually the weather in Arizona is too hot!!! Anyone who knows me at all knows that I cannot stand the heat of day games. ST consists of day games. Two years ago, I wilted in the sun I was glad I went. In fact, that was when I began writing this blog. I travelled a bit heavy, carrying a lap top and 20 official MLB baseballs in my luggage. No room for clothes. I ended up having to buy baseballs because I ran out!!!
The highlight of my trip did not happen during any official function. I happened to run into two young Dodger players out looking for sushi somewhere in Glendale. NO ONE RECOGNIZED THEM!!! Except MEEE of course. They were sweet and wonderful taking time to speak to me as though they were my buddies ( haha that was for you 53!!) I will never forget that. The two Dodgers were Matt Kemp, probably the best all around defensive offensive player in baseball and James Loney, first baseman, also one of my favorites. Since then Matt and Janes have recognized me and always acknowledge me. So awesome.
I came across a picture of my former Dodger sweetheart Russell Martin, now a Yankee and forever in my heart, with Joba at a game. Doesn’t Russie look nerdy but cute?

That’s Russell on the right.
First official ST game for the Dodgers will be Monday. Curious to catch a glimpse of how the season will go.
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival
of my season tickets in the mail!! Can’t wait!!
Can you believe technology? I am writing this blog while sitting in my car waiting to go in to work, ready to soon start another 12 hour shift.
Thanks for stopping by!
