I think most of all I miss standing in
my spot in front of Matt. I stood there before every home game without fail. Even if the attendance was dismal, Matt knew I would always be there, his faithful fan.
I need my Dodgers to bring me happiness in my otherwise stressful life. It’s my special world that I can put other things out of my mind. I can believe that dreams can come true. I can meet my heroes and find out that they actually remember me! I know that Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw is giving ME that huge smile and asking me “how have you been?”
Somehow the Dodgers and the stadium staff make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.
I need you guys back again. Let me dream and feel special another season!!

I had a great time yesterday. I had decided that I would try to make at least one part of the Dodger Caravan. Volunteering at the Food Bank seemed to be the most fun and also the most rewarding. I was able to talk to some of the Dodger legends as well as some of our current players.
It was wonderful to talk to Clayton, our rising star, recipient of the 2011 Cy Young award. What an accomplishment for such a young player! He has always been humble. I congratulated him and he beamed! It’s nice that he recognizes me especially since I changed my look a little. Not eating Dodger buffet everyday, I lost a few pounds and my hair is different. Usually my hair color made it easy for people to spot me from the upper deck section at Dodger Stadium. Now maybe I can just blend in. What do you think? Can you pick me out of the picture above?
I was assigned to the pinto bean station. My station was next to Tommy Davis and Shawn Green. My Dodger buddy Rosa had the difficult assignment of rice between those two hunks. Tough job!

But my heart is still with Shawn Green who was one of the reasons I became so True Blue. He is still a little quiet and shy. We’re hoping with the new owners, yet undecided, that there will be a place for him on the staff.
Thanks to those on the Dodger staff who made it possible for me to have this memorable experience at the Los Angeles Food Bank, the largest of its kind in the U.S. They are able to feed one million of the four million residents of L.A. What a difference they make. Today I am a little sore but it’s a nice feeling. Know what I mean?

I have gotten to the point that when the Dodgers are on the road, I miss them as though they were family.  The All Star Break is making this roadtrip way too long.  I am counting the days.  I suppose it doesn’t help that I have worked every night while they were gone…I am now on NIGHT EIGHT of ELEVEN.  Then the guys will be back at Blue Heaven on Earth Friday night.

Besides missing my Dodgers, I miss all my friends at Dodger Stadium.  I have made such wonderful friends this season. 

I will post some pictures tomorrow.  I have many great pictures to share with you.  I also have some great experiences to share with you.  I have season tickets in Prime Ticket Club, formerly Baseline Club.  It has been an awesome season so far.  I wish that it were going better for my guys.

It makes me very sad the way the season has gone.  I know the Dodgers have so much going on behind the scenes, how can it be easy to concentrate solely on playing.  I know that Matty Kemp has had an exceptional season.  It brought tears to my eyes when I saw him look out at the seats at the stadium and noticed the sadness when he said, “Where are all the fans?”  I know that he knows that I am there at every game because I stand there in front of him screaming and jumping up and down just so he knows that the fans who do come are loud and love the Dodgers whether they win or lose.  Those of us who come are TRUE BLUE!!!  I am not a fan who doesn’t come to prove a point…the point being..I don’t know what their point is when they decide to boycott the games to show Frank what they think.  We should support our Dodgers.  I don’t care who owns the Dodgers.  I come to watch them play. 

The beating incident earlier this season seemed to be a factor also in the poor attendance at the stadium.  Or maybe it might be the huge number of LAPD around the stadium that kept people from coming.  It appeared that almost every other person I saw at the games was a policeman.  There was a patrol car guarding my car in the parking lot.  Too bad they weren’t there last season when someone stole my Russell 55 license plate.  Maybe my Dre 16 plate will last me more than one season.   I like the LAPD at the stadium.  I think they must have chosen only those policeman who smiled a lot and loved the Dodgers.  For some reason, they all like to hug me.  I suppose I don’t look too much like a criminal.

The last couple of weeks, I have been bringing my 90 year old father to the games.  I told him he had to come to at least one game with me.  That was two weeks ago.  Since that first game, he has come to every game with me.  That is definitely an experience.  I made sure that every policeman, usher, security, cleaning crew, fan, knows my Dad in case he decides to wander off.  He enjoys the games so much that I may have to bring him from now on.  On an off day, my Dad was sitting in his chair all dressed in Dodger blue at 8:00 waiting to go to the game.  That is, 8:00AM. 

I know that my Dodgers are not having that great a season but at this point I can say that the bullpen is improving.   Javy Guerra appears to be the closer now and does provide for some exciting scary moments.  Has everyone seen those gorgeous blue eyes of his?? The pitching is pretty good.  Kershaw is proving that he is the ace.  The pitchers would look much better if only they were provided with some run support.  Matt has been all around this season.  He lost weight so he looks leaner but still is a bison.  He has been fantastic in defense and offense.  I can’t say enough about Jamey Carroll who has played shortstop during Furcal’s DL.  Left field has had more substitutions.  I kind of liked Trent out there.  He looks kind of cool standing in left field.  Most fans want Jerry Sands back.  We also loved watching Dee Gordon.  Both are back at Triple A.  Maybe Dee will gain a little weight. 

I promise I will have pictures on my blog as soon as I can figure out how to do it on my Ipad.  I have hundreds I took with my new camera.  I have lots of closeups of Andre and Matt.
